January 29th & 30th 2019 Minneapolis Public Schools still Closed - Classes Cancelled

Minneapolis public schools made the decision, due to dangerously cold weather to keep the schools closed through Wednesday which, again means, unfortunately Community Education classes have also been canceled. 😭
Community education offices will be closed until Thursday morning and at that time I will contact the coordinators for both schools to find out about options for makeup classes for all three evenings.
I will see you next week!!

January 28th 2019 Minneapolis Public Schools Closed - Classes Cancelled

Unfortunately, due to weather Minneapolis Public Schools made the decision to close schools for the day, including adult education so my Washburn Pilates 1 and Pilates Yoga Power Sculpt classes will not run this evening. I'm crossing my fingers that the dropping temps will not cause any more school closures this week. I will know more about my options to add a make up class once I am contacted by coordinator tomorrow as all offices are closed today. I will pass on the info as soon as I have it.

I'm a bit bummed but we'll get back at it tomorrow, hopefully!! Keep moving!

SOMN Polar Plunge kicks off one week from today!

For all my of life physical fitness, teams and partnerships have played an incredibly important role in helping me develop my true authentic self, to find courage and the ability to feel strong beyond physical strength. Those with intellectual and physical disabilities struggle to find a place in this world of belonging and that is why I am committed to supporting Special Olympics Minnesota and the Minnesota Polar Plunge

"Special Olympics Minnesota is part of a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community. Through athletic, health and leadership programs, SOMN aims to create a world that accepts and welcomes every single person regardless of ability or disability. All funds raised from Polar Plunge support over 8,200 athletes across the state who participate in Special Olympics programs such as Young Athletes, Unified Sports, Healthy Athletes and ALPs University." https://www.plungemn.org/about/

Every year I take the Polar Plunge to raise funds for these incredible programs of inclusion.
In one week we PLUNGE!
If you would like to support SOMN through my plunge into the icy waters of White Bear Lake you can make a safe and easy pledge by clicking this link to my person plunge pledge page 👉 https://reg.plungemn.org/participant/susiequarstad
