Class Cancellation on Tuesday, October 15th!!!

Due to MSP conferences, all Washburn MPS Community Education classes will be canceled on October 15th and rescheduled to November 26th! 


Please contact me if you are not available November 26th for the rescheduled classes and we will hopefully find another date to join in one of my Monday or Wed classes!

Classes WILL be held on Monday October 14th! There are also no classes on October 16th due to MEA. We will be back in full swing the following week, October 21-23rd!

Pilates 1 Mat Class- Low-impact, core body conditioning. Learn and practice the Five Stott© Pilates Principles, improve your posture, balance, and flexibility through stretching and core strengthening exercises. Build strength in your abdomen, lower back, and hips with the focus of making your torso the powerhouse of your body.

Pilates 2 Mat Class- This is a second level pilates class for those that have experienced Pilates 1 and are looking for a bit more. This one hour and fifteen minute class is sure to challenge your strength and conditioning with more advanced pilates exercises focusing on making the torso the powerhouse of your body.

Pilates/Yoga Power Sculpt Mat Class- In this Class we begin with the Five Stott© Pilates Principles. Next using pilates principles we heat our body using Vinyasa Flow Yoga Sun Salutations then continue with Pilates at an intermediate level (level 2). In this class we will use provided small stability balls and resistance Thera-bands, which are available through me to borrow or to purchase for $5. Please have some pilates and yoga experience.

Free Yoga at Mill City Farmer's Market!

Market Yoga

As part of the Market’s mission to grow a healthier community, we’ve partnered with local neighborhood yoga studios to offer free outdoor yoga classes! Our Market Yoga series kicks off June 1 and continues through the end of September. Before or after you shop the Market, join talented instructors from Alchemy 365, YogaFit Studios and The Gem Life for a blissful outdoor practice in the lawn overlooking the Mighty Mississippi and Stone Arch Bridge.

This is not your typical yoga class. AFlow brings you strength, balance, and isometric holds with a faster flow. Peak postures change daily so you can progress in all aspects of your fitness journey. Our yoga strength class is designed for the athlete that needs a stretch day, but doesn’t want to Om.

*New in 2019, join The Gem Life monthly for their signature Citrine Release Gem Yoga Class at the market. Come release with us in this 45-minute yin yoga class paired with the Citrine Crystal to evoke manifestation and the clearing of unwanted residue. Throughout class you will awaken your senses with oils while holding deep yin poses, allowing you space to come inward and hear what you have been looking for. So what are you waiting for? A little Mindful Monday Motivation! It's #MarchMatness month!

The The Single Leg Stretch is a Pilates essential and these ladies are making it look like a lot of fun!!
This exercise strengthens the abdominal muscles, stabilizes the spine and helps build strength in the torso while improving your endurance & coordination! The single leg stretch is  part of the well known Ab Series of Five! Breaking it down and focusing on each part of the series is a great way to focus and not rush through the movements.
